Brussels, 16/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - In a backdrop to a meeting on 14-15 May in Manila of Trade Ministers from the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN): Brunei; Burma/Myanmar; Cambodia; Indonesia; Laos; Malaysia; Philippines; Singapore; Thailand and Vietnam, the Commissioner for Trade Peter Mandelson said that there was now a “solid case” for extending economic cooperation between the two parties and negotiating an EU/ASEAN free trade agreement.
