10/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - At its congress in Vienna on 4 May, the European Confederation of Executives and Managerial Staff (CEC) elected a Frenchman of Greek origin Georges Liarokapis as its new President. Mr Liarokapis is an adviser to the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and a manager at L'Oréal. Ludger Ramme was re-elected CEC Secretary General. Swede Annika Hage-Nielson was elected Deputy Secretary General, and Italian Paola Zovatto Treasurer. The new team set, among its objects, obtaining recognition of the usefulness managerial staff organisations, consolidating the role of the CEC as a promoter of European integration, defending the European social model and continuing the collaboration work with ETUC.
