10/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - In Brussels on 6-7 June, EUROFI, a Parisian think tank active in the field of financial services, is holding a conference on retail financial services in Europe. Various panels will allow the development of the topics: the level of integration of retail financial services markets and the advantages for consumers, protection for financial services consumers, development of undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (UCITS) and micro-credit in Europe, the prospects for a single European payment area (SEPA), and the improvement of decision-making in financial services at EU level. Taking part in the discussions will be the Austrian and Belgian Finance Ministers, Commissioners Barroso, Kroes and McCreevy and several MEPs.
