Brussels, 08/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has approved the proposed acquisition of Hyparlo by French group Carrefour. Both firms are active in principally food distribution, with Carrefour active in 28 countries through its hypermarkets, supermarkets and local stores. Within the terms of franchise contracts concluded with Carrefour, Hyparlo manages 16 hypermarkets, 12 of which are in France and 4 in Romania.
