Brussels, 04/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - The White House has announced that President George W. Bush will go to Vienna on 21 June to take part in the annual summit of the European Union and USA. Scott McClellan, the White House spokesman indicated to the press that, “This trip will underscore the importance of our relationship with the European Union and provide an opportunity for the President to discuss our transatlantic agenda with the President of the European Council, Wolfgang Schüssel and the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso”. The summit will debate a wide range of issues: the fight against nuclear proliferation and terrorist financing, reconstruction in Iraq, promotion of peace and democracy in Europe and elsewhere, the suppression of international trade barriers and energy security.
