Council adopts rules on reducing fluorinated greenhouse gas emissions

Brussels, 28/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - The regulation on reducing all fluorinated greenhouse gases (HFCs, PFCs, SF6) and the directive on fluorinated gases used in air conditioning in motor vehicles were formally adopted without debate by the Council on 25 April. The agreement on the joint text redrafted in EP/Council conciliation (see EUROPE 9169 and 9122) allowed this move forward.
