Green light to support for First Solar in Germany

Brussels, 27/04/2006 (Agence Europe) -The Commission has authorised aid of 45.5 million EUR to be paid by the German government to FIRST SOLAR Manufacturing GmbH (FSM) for the construction of a factory to produce solar modules in Frankfurt. The company's objective is to transfer and adapt its expertise and production techniques to this factory, in order to start to produce solar modules on the European market, which is currently experiencing rapid expansion.
