Very real danger of H5N1 virus appearing in Australia, USA and Canada

Brussels, 08/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The avian flu epizooty could very swiftly spread around the whole world, according to the Director General of the International Office of Epizootics (IOE). Bernard Vallat quoted by AFP declared that, “the probability of the appearance of this stem (H5N1) appearing in Australia is very high. In the USA and Canada, the possibility is also very high”.
