Brussels, 22/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will be drafting a document to harmonise the interpretation and application of measures in Regulation 261/2004 boosting air passenger rights in the event of over-booking, cancellation and long delays, which came into force on 17 February 2005. During a meeting on 17 February with the Member States' bodies responsible for applying the regulation (see EUROPE 9133), the Commission detected the need to harmonise the way the regulation is interpreted and implemented in the EU Member States and will be drafting a document exchanging best practice and comments, to be published before the end of June 2006.
