16/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - CDU MEP Werner Langen welcomed the “brilliant choice” of Finance Ministers in proposing Jürgen Stark for membership of the European Central Bank (ECB) Board of Directors. On 14 February, the Ecofin Council recommended to the European Council that the current Vice-President of the Bundesbank replace his compatriot Otmar Issing from 1st June.
