16/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - In a press release Hiltrud Breyer MEP (Green, Germany) announced that on 21 February in Brussels she would be organising a meeting with Jakob von Uexküll, founder of the alternative Nobel Peace Prize, in an effort to explain Uexküll's 2004 initiative to create a World Future Council for looking at how to ensure a sustainable future for humanity based on shared ethical values. The press release explains that this Council, made up of around a hundred, “wise men, pioneers and youth leaders” would work with experts' committees on key problems to do with the environment, and social and economic issues.
