Mid-term review of European road safety strategy on 23 February

Brussels, 03/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 23 February, the European Commission will present its mid-term review of its action plan to improve road safety in the EU. The aim of the action plan is to reduce the number of people killed on EU roads, estimated at 44,000 per year in 2004, by half by the year 2010. This review will be the Commission's contribution to the informal meeting of EU Transport Ministers in Bregenz on 1st and 2 March which will focus principally on road safety. Presented...
