Brussels, 02/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - Discussions in London on Wednesday between Commissioner Peter Mandelson and Indian Trade Minister Kamal Nath focused on NAMA and services. “We are looking for ways to bring the potential trade and development benefits from these sectors to the heart of the negotiations” of the Doha Round, Mandelson explained. “Kamal Nath often says that we have to get down to details - what we need, what we can give - and he is right”, he added. Mandelson and Nath also discussed bilateral relations with a view to the EU-India summit in October this year. Also, Brazilian President Lula da Silva gained Tony Blair's support on Wednesday for the idea of holding a summit between rich G-8 countries and G-20 emergent countries to seek to bring talks out of deadlock.
