Commission closely follows new dioxin crisis in Belgium and Netherlands

Brussels, 30/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 30 January, the European Commission announced that it had informed Belgian and Dutch authorities that it had discovered that the levels of dioxin in batches of animal feeds were too high. On the same day, Belgian and Dutch authorities met with Commission experts take stock and identify the source of the contamination.
