EUR 190 mil loan for broadband in Hungary

Luxembourg, 16/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending EUR 190 million for providing telecom broadband infrastructure in Hungary. The loan will finance the extension of the geographical coverage of existing Hungarian broadband services and increase capacity. Magyar Telekom, Hungary's biggest fixed and mobile phone company, is the project promoter.
