Advocate General Geelhoed criticises UK National Health Service waiting lists for treatment abroad

Luxembourg, 20/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - In the Watts case (C-372/04), European Court of Justice Advocate General Leendert Geelhoed criticises the UK National Health Service policy of solely using NHS waiting list targets to determine whether a person can receive treatment without undue delay upon their request in another Member State does not take sufficient account of the individual needs of each patient.
