At a cost of 800 million dollars, DRESDNER BANK has acquired a third of the capital of GAZPROMBANK, Russia's third largest bank currently under the control of the gas monopoly GAZPROM, a key subsidiary of which it will remain. The deal values GAZPROMBANK at 2.4 billion dollars.
