Commission adjusts import rules and biosafety measures

Brussels, 24/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 23 November, the European Commission received endorsement from the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health (SCFCAH) for a number of measures relating to bird flu. As far as Turkey and Croatia are concerned, the embargos set in place following an outbreak of bird flu will be regionalised after very strict control measures set up in both these countries.
