"Memorandum of Understanding" between EU and China on product safety

Brussels, 14/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - In Brussels on 11 November, the EU and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding to step up their cooperation in product safety and food safety. The objective of this voluntary agreement is to improve the exchange of information, mutual understanding, consultation and cooperation between the Commission and the Chinese government agency for quality control, inspections and quarantine (AQSIQ).
