Strategic stocks of eight Member States below threshold of obligatory reserves required under Community legislation

Brussels, 22/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - Further to the meeting of 9 September (EUROPE 9024), the experts of the Member States of the Oil Supply Group and DG Energy of the Commission met once again on 21 September to analyse the impact on their strategic oil reserves of measures taken by 17 Member States (EU-15 plus Hungary and the Czech Republic) as part of concerted action within the International Energy Agency (IEA) to come to Washington's aid (EUROPE 9019).
