Negotiations on SAA are postponed

Brussels, 15/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn has announced that, due to the collapse of police reform in Bosnia-Herzegovina (reform considered indispensable by the EU but which was rejected by the parliament of Republika Srpska), negotiations on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) with the European Union could not begin this year. The reform is the last obstacle to opening talks.
