30/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 17 August, Australia announced that 2.95 million Australian dollars (1.8 million euros) would be granted to its researchers to assist in collaborating with research partners at international level. Half of this sum will go to Australian involvement in research projects being carried out under the sixth framework research and development programme of the European Union.
