Brussels, 25/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - The EU's Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health met in Brussels on Thursday to assess the risk of the bird flu epidemic spreading to Europe following the discovery of an outbreak in Russia (Siberia) and Kazakhstan in August, the first detection of cases outside Asia.
