25/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - The first meeting of the Committee of Representatives of EU Member States (COREPER) after the summer break will be held on Wednesday 31 August, before the informal Gymnich-type meeting of foreign ministers in Newport (South Wales) on 1-2 September. The main subject of discussion for both COREPER and the foreign ministers will be the launch of accession negotiations with Turkey, foreseen for 3 October this year.
