05/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - ECAS (European Citizen Action Service) is reactivating its hotline to gather evidence regarding the free movement of persons in Europe one year after enlargement. In a press release, ECAS notes the success of the latest hotline and of the European Parliament's request to draft another report on this subject. The press release specifies that ECAS will, for the very first time, be publishing data on the free movement of workers from the new member States and workers who go to the new Member States. It recalls that last year's hotline mainly revealed that, in the former Member States, there was no massive inflow of people from the new Member States seeking employment, contrary to public speculation.
