28/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, the intergovernmental organisation, EUREKA, points out that its E!2635 project has allowed a satellite-based communications system to be developed to monitor rail freight between Europe and Asia. This will make transporting goods by rail safer, especially for hazardous substances, and will allow rapid and effective intervention when required. The system aims to meet the growing requirements of the rapidly growing trade between Asia and Europe.
