For more future competition, Commission accepts temporary regulation for broad band access in France

Brussels, 27/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised a provisional measures decided on by the French telecommunications sector regulatory body (ARCEP) which requires the traditional operator, Télécom, to provide, for a transitional period, market players with wholesale nationwide high-speed access to France's telecoms network. This measure will be implemented over 12 months and will apply until competing network operators have built a sufficiently wide backbone...
