Günter Verheugen takes stock of progress in “better regulation” initiative launched in March

Cardiff, 13/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - The “better regulation” initiative launched in March this year (EUROPE 8911) by Enterprise and Industry Commissioner Günter Verheugen, was the main theme of the second day of the Informal Competitiveness Council organised by the British EU Council Presidency in Cardiff (Wales) on 11 and 12 July. Mr Verheugen mainly presented to EU industry ministers the progress that his initiative has made since it was launched.
