15/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - The EU High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana, announced on 15 June that he would go to the Middle East in July and would remain there as long as possible to ensure that the Israeli disengagement from Gaza and parts of the West Bank unfolds as it should. His announcement came during a speech before the EuroMed Parliamentary Assembly Committee on Political Affairs, Security and Human Rights (to which we shall return in a later edition).
