15/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted clearance to the acquisition of joint control of Autonet Co and Bontec Co (ABJV) of Korea by Siemens VDO Automotive AG (SV) of Germany, belonging to the Siemens Group, and the Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) of Korea. SV and ABJV both produce electronic control, navigation systems for cars. HMC manufactures and exports cars on a global scale. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
