Brussels, 10/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - In his capacity as president of the Eurogroup and president of the Ecofin Council, Jean-Claude Juncker will be at the meeting of G7 finance ministers in London on 10 and 11 June, alongside Joaquim Almunia, European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs. A press release from the Luxembourg Presidency recalls that the session essentially serves to prepare the G8 Summit, in July in Gleneagle (Scotland), that is to focus on a new initiative for international development aid. The press release recalls that the EU has launched an initiative for a modest contribution on air tickets to increase development aid (see EUROPE 8963) on the subject of the Ecofin Council discussion).
