Brussels, 07/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 8 June the European Commission will be launching the new “Researchers in EUROPE 2005” initiative to raise public awareness about careers in research. A little over fifty events will take place in Europe, such as the play based on the life of a Russian mathematician, “The Case of Sophie K” at the Avignon Theatre Festival on 9-24 July; a “European Researchers' Night” on 23 September 2005 in different European cities; a closing ceremony in November 2005 in Dublin.
