In an effort to concentrate business on textiles and training shoes, ADIDAS-SALOMON (total turnover of EUR 6.478 bn in 2004), second sports equipment provider in the world, will be selling off its French ski materials subsidiary SALOMON (consolidated turnover of EUR 653 million, with a workforce of 2769) to Finnish company AMER SPORTS (turnover of EUR 1.036 bn in 2004) for EUR 485 million. ADIDAS-SALOMON will henceforward be known as ADIDAS.
