Brussels, 04/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition by public bid of RAC plc (“RAC”), a roadside assistance provider, by the UK insurance group Aviva plc (“Aviva”). After examining the operation, the Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in European market.
