In Turkey, CARREFOUR, number two in the world for distribution, has acquired a 60% stake in GIMA, the third largest local supermarket chain which has 81 shops. It will also be buying up the 56% FIBA holds in ENDI, the fourth maxi-discount store in the country with 45 sales outlets.
