GENERAL NEWS / (eu) ep/schengen

03/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 28 April the European Parliament approved by 512 votes for, 20 against with 31 abstentions, the report by Carlos Coehlo (EPP-ED, Portugal) on access to services for registering vehicles under the Schengen Information Service (SIC). The EP agrees with the proposal for providing free access for these services so that they can check that whether a vehicle has not been stolen.
