22/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Management Board of the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) in Lisbon has appointed German Wolfgang Götz as its Director, succeeding Georges Estievenart from 1 May. Mr Estievenart has led the Monitoring Centre since July 1994. Mr Götz has in the past worked for Eurostat on cooperation programmes with Eastern and Central European countries.
