12/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - For closure of the 10th Glaverbel Chair, the European Studies Institute at Louvain Catholic University, chaired by Professor Christian Franck, is organising a colloquy for 21 and 22 April, in Brussels, on the Unfinished Europe. Work, to be closed by former European Commissioner Etienne Davignon, will cover: - the borders of Europe, with notably the director general for external relations at the European Commission, Eneko Landaburu, - the Balkans and Turkey, with Professor Elie Barnavi from Tel Aviv university (former Israeli Ambassador in France) and MEP Gérard Deprez; - the future of the continent in terms of reinvention, with addresses by Antonio Padoa Schioppa from Milan university (former member of the ECB executive board), Philippe de Schoutheete, former Permanent Representative for Belgium at the EU, Piotr Nowina-Konopka from the Robert Schuman Foundation in Warsaw, and André Lamfalussy, former President of the European Monetary Institute.
