Decision on Alitalia in May possible but not certain

Brussels, 12/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Commission may return its decision on the restructuring and recapitalisation plan for Alitalia this May, but “no date has been set”, according to the spokesperson for Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot. “A decision in May is a possibility, but the Commission is not making any promises. This will depend on the information the Italians give us”, he added, as quoted by Reuters, in reaction to the words of Italian transport minister Pietro...
