Unconditional green light to Czech Republic's national plan on emission quotas - Commission formally rejects UK request

Brussels, 12/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the Commission adopted two decisions on national greenhouse gas emission quotas in directive 2003/87/EC set out on 1 January as part of the European CO2 emissions market putting forward implementation of the Kyoto Protocol. The commission gave an unconditional green light to the Czech Republic, which covers 436 installations, and all installations qualify for trading.
