30/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Advisory Council for Aeronautical Research in Europe (ACARE) presents the second edition of its Strategic Research Agenda (SRA-2) today in Brussels. Two years after the launch of this R&D plan for the aeronautic sector, its scope and ambitions have been significantly revised upwards, since it now envisages several scenarios for the future of Europe's air transport sector and gives a precise technical review of the technologies needed. As air traffic is growing unceasingly and worldwide competition is putting heavy pressure on European industry, SRA-2 provides all the actors with a common reference for technological research and development, says a press release from the European Commission.
