Commission welcomes increase, even if too slow, in number of women in science

Brussels, 30/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - The number of women in top positions in science is growing, but slowly. At EU level, women make up only 14% of top academics and 44% of science and technology graduates. These are the findings of a report on “Women and Science: Excellence and Innovation - Gender Equality in Science” that has just been published by the European Commission.
