Rome to host 2006 congress for party's 30th birthday

Brussels, 07/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - At its meeting last Friday the Political Bureau of the European People's Party (EPP) chaired by Wilfried Martens decided that the Party's next congress would be held in Rome in spring 2006 on the invitation of Forza Italia and the Unione dei Democratici Cristiani et dei Democratici di Centro (UDC). Wilfried Martens said in a statement that the event will coincide with the EPP's thirtieth birthday.
