European Federation of Retired and Elderly People opposes Bolkestein directive

Brussels, 03/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - In an “open letter” to MEPs, the European Commission and the Member States of the directive on services in the single market (known as the Bolkestein directive), the European Federation of Retired and Elderly People (FERPA) makes the following demands: 1) Europe must first of all provide itself with a legal framework to protect and promote quality services of general interest; 2) social and healthcare services and aid to elderly and dependent...
