Georgia's stability and democracy are essential for EU security, Frieden says - NATO to continue dismantling Soviet missiles in Georgia

Brussels, 21/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - Luxembourg's Minister for Defence and Justice Luc Frieden was in Georgia on Wednesday to meet the President of the Republic, Mikhaïl Saakashvili, and Foreign Minister Salomé Zourabichvili. While in Tbilissi, Frieden stressed that “stability and democracy” in the region of the Caucasus in general and in Georgia in particular are essential for “European and international security”, a press release states.
