14/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commissioner for external relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner commented on the first pluralist elections in Iraq and explained that the, “Commission expects those elected to assume responsibility for governing Iraq in the name of the Iraqi people”. She said that she was confident that they would ensure full representation of the diversity that existed in Iraq, in the “political process and particularly in the drafting of the constitution”.
