ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

KEMIRA, the largest Finnish producer of chemical products, is to acquire the Dutch VERDUGT and Finnish FINNISH CHEMICALS OY from two private investment companies, for a total of 493 million EUR. These operations will allow KEMIRA to become the world leader in organic acids and the world number two in chemicals for the paper and pulp industries.
