Brussels, 03/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - Luxembourg prime minister Jean-Claude Juncker in his role of president of the European Council will be meeting his British counterpart, Tony Blair on 4 February in London, to discuss the Luxembourg presidency's priorities and the future British presidency. On 7 February, Juncker will meet president Chirac in Paris and on 8 February where he will take part, at the invitation of French prime minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin, in the debate, “Let's Talk Europe - Matignon Breakfasts”. Trade unions, business leaders and representatives form civil society will also participate in the debate.
As president of the Ecofin Council and Eurogroup, Mr Juncker will participate in the meeting of G7 Finance Ministers in London on 4-5 February, where he will meet the US Secretary to the Treasury John Snow and Rodrigo de Rato, Director General of the International Monetary Fund.
