Rene van der Linden elected President of Parliamentary Assembly

Strasbourg, 26/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Monday, Dutch Christian-Democrat Rene van der Linden was unanimously elected President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly. 61-year old Rene van der Linden has been a Dutch CDA parliamentarian since 1977 and a member of the Council of Europe and Western European Union for many years.
