26/01/2005 (Agence Europe) - Amnesty International has sent an open letter to the Council and the Commission criticising the “alarming situation of asylum within the EU”, police repression at a peaceful demonstration by asylum seekers in Malta, and a case of torture of Afghanistan adults and children in Greece. It is “very concerned that these questions remain unanswered by the Council and the Commission”.
